Peace, Reassurance and Religion

The Boys’ Own Paper magazine from 1917 is written in a way that reassures readers. A lot of the articles explain that, while a lot of soldiers die in war, they are at peace once they reach heaven.

The message is:
God will thank you for fighting for your country and for fighting for Him.
It will be okay; friends will go to heaven and be in peace.

As the magazine is written for children, it does not go into detail about how people might die. It just says that if they do, everything will be okay.
